Clinical Administrator
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and internationally trained dentist to join our team as a Clinical Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing clinical notes for accuracy and completeness, as well as accurately charting teeth conditions for patients. Your expertise will ensure that patient records are comprehensive, precise, and in compliance with established standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Notes Audit: Reviewing and auditing clinical notes, treatment plans, and diagnostic records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards and regulations.
Teeth Charting: Accurately charting the condition of patients' teeth, including existing
restorations, dental caries, periodontal conditions, and other relevant dental findings.
Documentation: Documenting findings accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records (EHR) or other designated systems, ensuring clarity and precision for future reference.
Collaboration: Collaborating with dental practitioners, specialists, and administrative staff to address any discrepancies or deficiencies in clinical documentation and ensure optimal patient care.
Quality Assurance: Participating in quality assurance initiatives to enhance the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of clinical documentation processes.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to clinical documentation, patient privacy, and data security.
Continuing Education: Staying abreast of advancements in dental technology, treatment modalities, and documentation practices through ongoing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Dentistry from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice dentistry in the jurisdiction of employment.
- Extensive clinical experience in general dentistry or a specialized dental field.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, diagnostic codes, and charting methods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in clinical documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements governing dental practice.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or dental practice management software.
